Last week I decided we needed an electrotherapy device. We went into Wal-Mart to look at the Icy Hot version and found the Omron unit. It looked to be more versatile than the Icy Hot one and, once you figured in buying a second set of Icy Hot pads (only good for 10 – 30 uses) compared to the Omron which has pads good for 150 uses, decided that the Omron was a better deal. We paid $39.88 at Wal-Mart (they only had the one in stock). We have used it every day since we bought it.
My back feels great now. It feels better than it has in years. I have a “bump” on the back of my neck where my spine gets out of whack and gives me headaches. After one 15 minute treatment, my “bump” was almost gone along with my perpetual sinus headache. After the second treatment, the bump was completely gone. I heft 5 gallon buckets of paint, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. It’s hard on me and my elbows and back suffer for it. This works great on my elbows too.
David has been having problems with one of his shoulders for several months now. He injured the muscle and then sleeps on it at night. The 15 minute treatment is lessening the pain, allowing him to sleep better a night. It is allowing the muscle to heal and hopefully he can stop having the daily treatments soon.
We have both had a little electrotherapy when we were going to a chiropractor. This little gizmo is very similar and works quite well at relaxing our muscles. This website gives info on how it works http://omronpainrelief.com/
While we can order the replacement pads at the manufacture’s website, I have found that it is slightly cheaper at the Wal-Mart website. I also think we need to buy some AAA rechargable batteries so that we have fresh batteries when we need them. The PM3030 we bought came with 2 AAA batteries, 2 standard size pads with pad holder, electrode cords, Instructonal manual, a quick start guide that has a pad placement guide in it.
