Today was a day off from work so I cooked supper. I didn’t want to get too ambitious. We had a bag of coleslaw mix in the refrigerator and a couple of grilled brats in the freezer. So I remembered a dish that we had at a restaurant in North Georgia many years ago. The dish was a cabbage au gratin type casserole similar to the one served at the Dillard House. So I found their recipe and tweaked it a bit. It turned out pretty good. I think it would work great with a bulk sausage as well. We’re odd in that we have some stainless steel steamtable pans from when we were operating a food cart. We do a lot of our cooking in them. Today I got one of those “Rent one, get one night free rental” promo codes that Redbox keeps sending me. So two movies for the price of one. Cheap movie night with a cheap meal.
